Double large field Stereoscopic PIV in a high Reynolds number turbulent boundary layer

résumé An experiment of flat plate turbulent boundary layer at high Reynolds number has been carried out in the Laboratoire de Mécanique de Lille (LML) wind tunnel. This experiment has been done in the frame of the WALLTURB European project jointly with LEA from Poitiers (France) and Chalmers University (Sweden). The simultaneous recording of 143 hot wires and two perpendicular fields of stereoscopic PIV has been performed. One SPIV plane is 1 cm in front the hot wire rake and the second SPIV plane is upper flow perpendicular to it and parallel to the flow. The first PIV results show a blockage effect which doesn't seem to affected the turbulence organization.
