résumé |
The aim of this note is an evaluation of a cubic eddy-viscosity turbulent model. The study is carried out in square duct. This configuration presents a secondary flow and a significant anisotropy between the Reynolds stress components. In order to handle wall-proximity effects in the near-wall region, damping functions are introduced. The comparison of the modified model results with DNS and LES simulations shows good agreements. In particular, the mean secondary velocity and the mean streamwise vorticity are well predicted. |
