3-D Modelisation of Streamwise Injection in Interaction with Compressible Transverse Flow by Two Turbulence Models

résumé The present research undertake a numerical three-dimensional study of the interaction of a row of discrete jets in a wall with a transversal compressible flow (Mach number Ma = 0.72), for small injection rate (R = 0.6). The scoop is the application to cooling of turbojets blades. This row of jets is simulated by an injection through a slit along the whole width of the plate. Favre-averaged Navier-Stokes equations were solved using a finite volume method. Turbulence closure was achieved using K-ε model and the explicit algebraic stress model. The accuracy of the method is assessed by comparison with experimental results. A reasonable agreement was obtained for the flow field. Results for the temperature field are also presented. The standard K-ε model underestimates the lateral spreading of the temperature and flow fields. The explicit algebraic stress model gives a better prediction than the linear K-ε model.
