résumé Draw resonance is a flow instability occuring in stretching flow such as melt spinning. A free surface becomes unstable if the draw ratio is greater than a critical value. A finite-element study is performed by computing the steady free surface and studying its stability for a two dimensional model. The influence of the capillary exit is studied and results are compared both with a classical one dimensional model and with experiments.
