résumé We discuss new features of the XeCl*-laser kinetics by using a detailed analysis of the results of complex computer models. In particular, we consider the development of a high scale instability in a XeCl*-laser discharge. The emphasis is made on fundamental problems, mainly on the limitation of the macroscopic approach to the study of such strongly nonequilibrium systems. The results obtained indicate especially the discharge proprieties at the plasma centre.
