résumé Aiming to provide a better understanding of thermal phenomena occurring in a sliding contact under tribological solicitation, a numerical model of pad-on-disc tribometer has been proposed. This study deals with an inverse problem concerning the identification of the heat exchange coefficient “h”. The method used allows the sequential estimation of the thermal boundary conditions by minimizing an error function between numerical and experimental temperature values. Coupled with the identification of the heat flux partition coefficient, the proposed model is validated.
