résumé A society of actors makes its possible for many independent processes to cooperate in order to solve together non linear problems. A server-actor handles communications between the others, which are scattered on a net of workstations. A supervisor-actor, independent of the code-actors, controls the execution of the computations. Written in the LMG1 actor-language, it relies upon some high level knowledge to control the solving process. Also written in LMG1, an interface-actor guarantees the independence between codes and supervisor. The richness of the object oriented representation enables interchanges between numerical and symbolic data, and the necessary translations from one to another. The only modification made on each code consist of a call to a unique communicating module, in various key-points of the numerical resolution. This allows each code to dialog with the other members of the society. This minor modification makes it possible to rapidly insert new codes into the society.
