Résumé :
During sea ice growth, convection can occur due to the formation of brine channels within the ice. Similarly, during CO2 sequestration in saline aquifers, convective dissolution can develop after dissolution of CO2 within the aqueous layer. On the basis of laboratory-scale experiments, we investigate the properties of such convection using non invasive Schieren optical techniques. We discuss the relevance of the experimental results with regard to available theoretical models
